Nuclear
Arc Energy Resources provides the expertise, technical management and specialist corrosion resistance weld overlay cladding for components destined for the nuclear supply chain and are deemed Fit4Nuclear (F4N) by Nuclear AMRC.
Whether you are a Tier 1 supplier engaged in traditional large light-water reactors or an engineering company working on the design of new technologies, such as Generation IV and small reactors, Arc Energy Resources can provide the specialist weld overlay cladding inside pipe work to ensure Heavy Water (D2O) and other hazardous liquids are moved safely around your systems. We work with the nuclear construction industry, maintaining the highest standards of work to RCC-M and ISO 15614, enabling us to provide a range of services from full supply of ASME code compliant equipment and pressure vessels to subcontract welding on free-issue ASME standard material. We use many different types of welding depending on the project requirement, including: hot & cold wire pulsed GTAW, GMAW, twin wire, SMAW, submerged arc, plasma transfer arc (PTA) and 30mm & 60mm electroslag strip cladding.
In addition, Arc Energy Resources is a member of the Advisory Board for NSAN (The National Skills Academy Nuclear) which ensures that issues relating to key skills within the industry are being addressed. We also provide a range of non-destructive testing (NDT) services in-house, including dye penetrant inspection, ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle inspection, radiographic testing, positive material identification, hardness testing, ferrite testing and pressure testing, and can source the full range of destructive testing from our supply network of trusted laboratories.
No matter the size or shape of your valves or pipework, we can weld on the inner and outer protective layer to ensure corrosion resistance and shielding.
